I am Maïlee, french filmmaker & photographer. I grew up in the countryside of France with a connection to nature from a very young age. My creativity has been mostly influenced by my sensitivity to simple things such as sharing good moments with my loved ones or being attentive to the nature around me. Creating images of those memories was a need and, over time, it became a real way of expression and storytelling. Photography and filmmaking are my own way to tell stories and I believe that authenticity is at the core of a good story.
I studied Media and Communication at the university of Lyon in France and finished my degree in Norway. There, I found a very creative and stimulating environment which pushed me to become a photographer filmmaker.
Recently graduated with a Master's degree in Media Practices from Volda University College, I am now focusing on becoming a cinematographer, and would like to specialize in documentary film production.
I never take my competences for granted and am always eager to learn, and I learn by doing. I find inspiration in any forms of art and in the outdoors.
Travelling and developping openmindness have lead me to meet amazing people on my journey. I will always try to step out of my confort zone to grow and learn. I am seeking for discomfort and new experiences to live.
